Membership—an investment in your career

Membership in WID is open to professional women and men whose primary professional activities relate to national security. You will be in good company because members represent three main categories: large and small defense companies and other businesses; all branches of the armed forces, plus federal government agencies; and academia, associations, and professional services.

Incorporated in 1985, Women In Defense is an affiliate of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA). WID members automatically become members of NDIA.

As a member, you will receive:

  • introduction to an impressive group of defense and national security professionals
  • opportunities for networking at events with senior decision makers in defense and national security
  • in some parts of the nation, access to a local chapter
  • membership in the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), including a subscription to the monthly magazine National Defense and member rates at WID and NDIA events.
  • a list of your WID peers in the Membership Directory and a WID member pin to distinguish your affiliation
  • a web site—http://wid.ndia.org—where you will find much useful information
  • online change of address/contact information to assure you of better, faster service log in to our web site and click on Modify Your Information.
  • access to a defense-related job board, reached at www.DefenseJobs.com
