About the Chapter
The New England Shoreline Chapter was founded September 2009 and encompasses women in defense for the entire New England Region. The chapter was developed by a few women from Electric Boat who were interested in promoting women in defense.
Calling all Women In Defense Chapter Members!
WID-NESC will be awarding two scholarships ($1000 each) at the WID-NESC Annual Banquet on September 20, 2012!
In order to be eligible you must be:
• A WID-NESC Chapter Member
• Enrolled in school
• Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Along with your application, each applicant is asked to prepare a one page essay on the topic:
"Who is the woman that inspired you most and why?"
To apply, please send the completed application form (attached), a copy of the transcripts from your last semester, and your one page essay to Megan Roberts (mroberts1@gdeb.com) by September 14, 2012.
