2006 WID Leaders Conference

National and Chapter leaders met for their fourth annual Conference October 24, 2006 at the NDIA/WID office. Participants exchanged ideas and information and learned from a recognized expert in association volunteer leadership, Michael Olson, CAE, Smith Bucklin.

2006 WID Fall Conference

Managing Change: The Ongoing Evolution of Women in the Defense Industry was the theme of this October 25, 2006 National Fall Conference, which drew WID members and others from all parts of the nation. Conference chair was Jan Menker, Concurrent Technologies Corp. Booz Allen Hamilton was sponsor.

During the day-long educational program held in Arlington, VA, more than 100 participants heard from prominent national speakers. Keynote speakers were Mary Lacey, National Security Personnel System, Dept. of Defense, and VADM Vivien S. Crea, Vice Commandant, U.S. Coast Guard. At the annual dinner, Trish Young, U.S. Transportation Command, discussed change.
